Welcome to the Methodist Care First Imaging Center

Methodist Care First Imaging Center, formerly Schererville Imaging Center, has been serving Schererville and surrounding communities since 1998. We are conveniently located at 7860 Burr Street, Schererville, Indiana, on the Northwest corner of Burr Street and Route 30. Methodist Care First Imaging Center provides a variety of imaging solutions, including ultrasounds, CT scans, MRI scans and radiology exams.

Some insurance plans now refuse coverage for imaging services performed at hospital-based imaging centers. Please be assured that Methodist Care First Imaging Center meets the coverage requirements of those plans.

Our Mission

The mission of Methodist Care First Imaging Center is to provide the highest level of quality, comprehensive state-of-the-art diagnostic medical imaging and interventional radiology services. As such, we are responsive to the needs and values of the diverse customers in Schererville, Indiana and the surrounding communities of Northwest Indiana that we serve. Accurate and timely healthcare services will be provided in a highly professional, caring, team oriented, and cost effective manner.

Accreditation

We are accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for all of the diagnostic modalities we offer. The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported to the ACR Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report they can use for continuous practice improvement.

*PET-CT prices include Fluorodeooxyglucose F-18 FDG, Diagnostic, up to 15 millicuries per study. Patient’s share of Regular Prices is subject to patient’s insurance plan, copayments and deductibles. To be eligible for the Pay-at-Service Price, patients must provide prepay with cash, check or major credit card at the time of the exam. Methodist Hospitals accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Prices include radiologist’s reading fee.

About Us

Our Physicians – Methodist Care First Imaging Center is staffed by Northwest Indiana Radiology Services, which has provided diagnostic and interventional radiology services to the Methodist Hospitals and patients of Northwest Indiana since 1959. The group is comprised of board certified radiologists who are sub-specialty trained in cross-sectional imaging, neuro-radiology and invasive radiology. All diagnostic imaging work will be done under the direct supervision of an on-site radiologist. MEET OUR PHYSICIANS
